Sleeping Butterflies

butterflies.jpg I am a super light sleeper so Mack’s pillow soft ear plugs and a sleep mask are my best friend in the wee hours. I finally decided that my Swissair mask and Kenya airways mask were not sexy enough for the bedroom so I bought this cute hand made sleep mask from BibBon on Etsy the other day. I am a sleeping beauty now. Mmmhh…although I have an addiction to the earplugs.

Theory Pants Make Me Look Good

theory_max_c_stretch.jpgI just received these fab Theory ‘Max C - Stretch Canvas’ Trousers in the post! I paid $175 from Tabloid Couture on Ebay. They fit so well it is scary. They are stretchy in the right places and clingy in the right places. I definitely recommend Theory couture for silhouette flattery. Tabloid Couture  provided prompt service and delivery..check out all the other goodies they carry like Cosabella and Nanette Lapore. xxo

Holiday Bling

rhinestone.jpg       gabba.jpg       dg.jpg

Thanksgiving and Christmas are so depressing and fattening that I have to cheer myself up with bling and I encourage you to do the same. Don’t take that as a blessing to install Tooth Jewellery. Although, for thoughtless entertainment, you should visit http://www.grillsbypaulwall.com/ just to see what’s happening on the Texas rap scene.

The bling I bought this week in  Ebay :

A Rhinestone Belt to wear with my patagucci ski pants. It  makes me look like I’m from Texas.

Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses because they cover most of my face and make me feel glamorous and hip and slightly like Paris Hilton. I bought 3 pairs for $9.99 each. Are they real?

My Top 5 Online Shops

1. Revolve Clothing  delivers worldwide, offers free shipping  for $100.00 orders (or more) and has awesome brands like Juicy Couture, Nanette Lepore, Paul & Joe and Chip & Pepper. First time buyers can get 30% off most items.

2. Ebay  because everything is available here in everyshape or form and sometimes a bargain. From  mobile phones to bobbleheads to jellybeans to little girl bridesmaid dresses..anything is on auction here. There is a good system for eliminating bad apples  so not much chance of getting ripped off.

3. Amazon has expanded from being a book seller to being a seller of beauty products, kitchen wares, clothing and apparel etc…also a great one stop shop with customer reviews to help out in your choice. At the moment there is a 4 for 3 deal on books, DVD’s, CD’s and magazines. Books, CD’s and DVD’s are not country specific. If you are not in an Amazon country (Amazon coutries are: USA, Canada, UK, Japan, China, Germany and France) then I would usually recommend you order from the US. I have done the math several times and while I get things faster from the UK they are cheaper from the US.

4. Figleaves.com : Aptly named online underwear shop.

Do I really need to say it? Underwear shopping sucks! Bright lights, big mirrors and ill fitting underwear…it’s dizzying. Figleaves has a US and UK site and is currently offering 70% discount on it’s swimwear.

5.Alinghi…perhaps not mainstream but this site is just great! Look Chic in the America’s Cup Winner’s garb. There are several sales going on here and a free Alinghi waterbottle with every order.

Air Head

I hate blow drying my hair…but when I don’t I have really stupid cowlicks ( I do love that word…and I really did think a cow licked me when I was little), so I’ve discovered this little brush attachment that comes with the CHI Chi Rocket. I am spastic with a normal hair brush and with this hair dryer you can just brush and style with the attachment on your hair dryer. Plus this little wonder dries your hair by projecting millions of negative ions to break the water molecules rather than boiling them like your old dryer  and you can get out the door on time: 50% faster drying time.  Amazon offers a free flat iron for the hair inspired that are spending $200 or more on related products. Now that’s a cool deal.

Botox Update…the $100′000 question

A few days ago I published “Will it Survive and buy me Botox” back when I was writing on Blogger. I’ve taken the plunge and now have my own website! I’ve been working on it all weekend and it’s soooo much harder and demanding than Blogger. My favourite blog is dooce (like everyone else) and I wanted something similar looking (I know I’m not there yet) but I started with contacting hostican…well ..I did not contact them I just purchased a 2 year package, found a coupon for $50.00 (50off-12) and paid with paypal, which I love doing because it almost seems like not spending money. 2 minutes after I pressed the pay button and my mobile phone rang. Let me stress that I live in Switzerland and that hostican lives in the U.S. I almost didn’t answer because I couldn’t tell who it was (paranoid) and it was Ted from hostican checking if I had made a purchase and then he talked me through the first steps. So yes I fell in love with Ted.

But then…I screwed it all up when I tried to change my theme as recommended by bloggeries and ladidah I ended up with a 404 error message. I WASTED hours of my saturday night trying to figure this out while watching failure to launch (very distracting: oh so very handsome) until I finally collapsed with absolutely nothing resolved.

This morning, nothing had been miraculously resolved so I found this little IM tech support thing on hostican and I found myself talking to Steven Moore. Steven Moore is my new hero. He fixed it all and I was back up and running so basically I made this site in a day. Don’t worry I will change the Header. It’s kind of blobby at the moment. I have to stress that hostican went so far beyond my expectations. I’m totally chuffed.

I was just about to sign off and I realise I have not addressed the title of this post. Aside from being fun this blog has a commercial goal. To increase returns by 20% a month. After almost a week of blogging I’m averaging almost one whole dollar a day and in three years I should be able to afford Botox because by then I will be (theoretically)making $25000 a month. So if you want to be part of my selfish Botox campaign please visit some of my links.

My Online Shop

This is completely selfish and gratuitous self promotion. Just because I’ve always wanted one and it is early days yet but I can’t help it…I’ve added all things I love and I’ve made my own shop! It’s taken me almost all day after bacon and eggs for brunch. So come visit my new all glittery Because Pink and Green Look Good Together shop. I’ll be adding shoes soon.

Revolve Clothing Rocks

So I did some pretend shopping last night. Put a couple of Juicy track pants in my basket along with a Danang top then I entered to win a $200 shopping spree. A message from my worldly L.A. friend then came in from her Iphone (I have big Iphone envy) saying that on Daily Candy there are 30% discounts for first time shoppers. This, I did not find because I suppose it had expired a while ago and because I am the last girl (loser) on earth to discover Revolve Clothing. So I sent Revolve an email asking about 30% and within 10 minutes I got an answer:

Hi there,
This is not a problem. You may place the order and go ahead and email or call us with the order/invoice number and we can take the discount off for you. Please remember that do to the manufacturers request, we are not allowed to use code matching and coupons on the following brands:
Kooba, Seven For All Mankind, Hudson Jeans, Nudie Jeans, True Religion, Joe’s Jeans, Citizens of Humanity and Paige Denim and Botkier. I understand that this can be an inconvenience, but unfortunately it is a restriction placed upon us by the manufacturer. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to doing business with you!

So not only do I get free shipping to Switzerland I can also get 30% off provided I spend over $100.00. NOT A PROBLEM.

Object of Desire

I’ve had this pair of Juicy Velour track pants in black with a white stripe down the side for about two years and I wear them all the time. The elastic is starting to show through the waist band which is really really sad. So I’m starting to desire something new but what if they aren’t as good? I have a pair that I bought on Ebay ages ago and the waist band sucks (the pants just fall off). So I did some quick browsing online and I discovered something sooooo coool. Revolve clothing not only ship internationally they ship for free if your order is over $100. That just bumped them up to my favourite online shop with out my even having ordered anything from them (yet).

Bling Bling Glam Glam

Kirsty Bertarelli

This is the ultimate glamorous achievement: Being the wife of Uber rich Billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli (an achievement in itself) and getting Audemars Piguet (ex-stuffy watchmaker recently come out of stuffydom manufacturing 20000 watches a year for the well heeled) to create “with” you a jewellery collection representing Alinghi winner of the 31st and 32nd America’s Cup. The whole set will set you back $100′000. Rumour says that Ernesto bought a set for his mother, wife and sister. What about me?? I’m still striving to get my burger (hint hint nudge nudge). Bravo Kirsty.

Bluefly Shopping frenzy

Bluefly is my new favourite online shop. I bought a pair of Joe’s Jeans: Socialite model in size 28 (yippee). They are perfect. A little long but with two inch Manolos they are hot (I usually wear sneakers so will probably shorten them). I also bought a Rebecca Beeson top which sizes too big. I bought a medium and it’s a fat girl’s delusional medium.
Bluefly rules because they shipped to me by DHL to Switzerland and did not charge a fortune. There are decent discount coupons to be found out on the internet: Just do a Google search for bluefly coupon. I can’t wait to feel rich again and shop for more.

I’ve gone a little crazy on Ebay lately as well and bought 2 Dora the Explorer DVD’s and one Bob the Builder DVD for my nephew. I bought turkey jerky and Buffalo Jerky for me (hey don’t be judgmental this does not exist in Switzerland).
