This week I’m Selling My Goldsign Jeans on Ebay

I’m selling my old clothes on Ebay this week. I have size 29 Goldsign jeans, Citizens of Humanity size 28, James Jeans size 29, Da-nang koi fish pants, new Nolita tops, old Alinghi tees, polos, a cop. copine dress and an Ed Hardy tee that my husband never wore. So far I am up $42 with 32 listings. Will keep you posted on total result. Am also bidding on yoga mats this week.

My own No! No! review

So I mentioned this item before …I was asking for reviews but I couldn’t wait and bought this blue No! No! epilator from Sephora.com  last Christmas. I can’t say I’ve always used it 100% correctly but it has only made my legs unbearibly prickly. I’m not convinced. By incorrectly I mean that I have waxed probably every 5 weeks or so and that I have had lapses in use: as in 3-4 weeks of non usage. What I have done is use it after waxing and for 3-4 weeks at a time in a row (once or twice a week). My legs are still prickly and just as hairy after using the No! No! I think it is a waste of $250. You might as well get yourself an Epilady or wax. My beautician laughed at the No No epilator: said I was basically just burning my hairs off. So did my dermatoligist that injects botox and restylane in my face. There are very limited reviews  or comments online. No research. What is this company anyway? Thumbs down on this gimmick.

In Praise of Saved Searches on Ebay and Eve Lom

evelom.jpg Eve Lom’s award-winning cleansing balm is a cult beauty buy, especially in the UK - and for good reason. It is, hands down, the best cleanser I have ever used. A greenish, waxy, thick balm that’s oily and a teeny bit gritty to the touch, the cleanser contains a blend of chamomile, clove, eucalyptus and hops aromatherapy oils to cleanse, decongest and soothe. It melts onto skin to remove every last trace of make-up and leaves skin exfoliated, perfectly clean and glowing. After one week of use, my skin looks brighter and clearer than it ever has before. So far it is only available in SpaceNK in New York (in Soho, Scarsdale and Columbus Circle).

Using it is like having  a deluxe mini-facial. Following the detailed instructions provided, you first massage the cleanser onto your face and neck in a 7-step routine which stimulates the lymphatic nodes to drain areas of congestion and eliminate toxins. Next, you soak the supplied muslin cloth in hot water, wring it out, and hold over the entire face for 5 seconds. This bit you repeat 3 times, so you’ve got a succession of hot compresses softening the skin and activating the essential oils. Then, you use the cloth to exfoliate and remove all traces of make-up and cleanser before rinsing it in cold water and using as a cold compress. There’s no need for a toner or astringent afterwards, and no need for moisturiser if your skin is oily.

It all sounds wildly complicated and time consuming, but honest to God it’s not. After a couple of uses, you could perform the lymphatic massage in your sleep, and the whole ritual now takes me just 3 minutes flat.

On the down side it is crazily expensive: a 100ml tub is £48 or $100. It should easily see you through 6 months of daily cleansing.

Here is where Ebay is my saviour! I recently ran out of my fabulous Eve Lom cleanser and I don’t live anywhere near civilization (only facial cleanser available would be supermarket crap). So I searched for Eve Lom on  Ebay and came up with a few results…and I bid on a few and lost a few auctions. I started to find that sellers of Eve Lom that were not based in the UK were not getting as good results. I guess because Eve Lom really has only reached cult status in the UK. So I saved my search for Eve Lom and when there was finally a seller in Germany that popped up I placed a max bid for USD50.00…and I got it! For half price. I’m delighted.

So to save time…if you know what you want on  Ebay, save your search and find what you need (want) immediately. I’m now saving searches for Theory Tank tops, Tiffany frogs, Hublot watches and Alinghi bikinis.

More Bling Christmas Presents For Me

skull.jpg   lipfusion.jpg

Ok so I’m not sure when I’m going to wear my new Silver Crystal Skeleton Celebrity hoodie and my husband will pretend he doesn’t know me when I’m wearing it. Nevertheless I am so excited to have more bling particularly with skulls. I’ll wear it to work tomorrow. Anyhow find this über cool top on Ebay for $19.95.

I’ve also bought 5 new lipfusion color shine glosses on Ebay for an average of $12.00. That’s less than a third of what Sephora is selling it for ($38.00). Along with Botox, no girl over 35 should live without micro injected collagen (whatever that is?). What am I going to do with 5? Leave them in pockets, purses backpacks etc…surprise myself.

The coolest thing I’ve done lately is bought a Sephora gift card on Ebay worth $415 for $348. And yes, I splurged on a No!No! hair removal device after reading this ongoing review that ms. distressedDerma  is undertaking. Her hairs are going away and so will mine (I hope).

No! No! Review Please

I really  really want to buy the No! No! hair removal system but there is not a single review out there. Help me before I waste $250.00. Please post your comments.

My Ebay Christmas List

Ebay is where I bought everyone gifts for Christmas last year and I’ll do it again this year.

kickadilla.jpgMy mother traipses around in the snow with her weiner dogs in god awful non descript leather boots. This year I’m getting her a pair of Kickadillas by Timberland. I bought a pair for myself two weeks ago and have been wearing them since they arrived. It’s like wearing furry pillows. Great for the anti-Ugg girls. Retails for $125.00. get them for as little as $65.00 on Ebay.

bliss.jpg My sister firmly believes in rubbing unborn baby boy foreskin cream (TNS recovery) on her face to hang on to her youth. This is what I bought her last year. This year she is getting a Bliss Scrub Set.

oakley.jpgMy groovy but ever-distracted husband needs new shades as his are always lost. I found Oil Drum Oakley Sunglasses on Ebay for him that will totally suit his grooviness.

nono.jpgI have to get myself a Christmas present too and if the Thermicon effect  of the  No! No! hair removal gadget actually works I will be eternally indebted to myself. $250 at Sephora. Get it for less on Ebay.

Extend Summer

alba-hawaiian.jpg   Alba Hawaiian is the freshest smelling line of beauty products.  I love the organic body scrub with sea salt, deep moisturizing kukui nut, sunflower, sweet almond and babassu coconut oils to exfoliate and soften skin all in one go. $10.95 on Amazon. PureDeming Review

Intense GelLast week I made a list of my top 5 favourite anti-ageing products and over the weekend I realised I forgot to mention  PureDeming. It really should have been called my top 6 favourite anti-ageing products. I discovered PureDeming  on Ebay about two years ago while reading about Ebay Store Success stories ( yes I was bored). After reading the amazing reviews, being intrigued by Deming Colbert’s unusual story of going from number cruncher at the US Department of Treasury to creating her own line of organic skin careand being equally impressed by the list of great ingredients (sometimes totally crunchy hippy ingredients just don’t cut it): Idebenone, vitamin C, Natural ALA,  and pomegranate extract, I bought an Intense Gel. PureDeming prides itself on it’s filler free products packed with pure active ingredients in high concentration and I have to say the results of using PureDeming are amazing. My skin positively glows after I use the Intense Gel formuated for dry skin.  [Read more →]

5 Things To Shop For On Ebay

Jo Malone scents are sumptious. Who doesn’t love tuberose, honeysuckle and gardenia?
Manolos are unaffordable for most of us in real life. I found a gorgeous pair here.
Home made cookies (you can pretend you made them)
Luxury Frette Bed Sheets you’ll never buy sheets at Target again.
Bliss to wash away the anxious day.

It’s time I hear from you. What are your top 5 things to shop for on Ebay?

Air Head

I hate blow drying my hair…but when I don’t I have really stupid cowlicks ( I do love that word…and I really did think a cow licked me when I was little), so I’ve discovered this little brush attachment that comes with the CHI Chi Rocket. I am spastic with a normal hair brush and with this hair dryer you can just brush and style with the attachment on your hair dryer. Plus this little wonder dries your hair by projecting millions of negative ions to break the water molecules rather than boiling them like your old dryer  and you can get out the door on time: 50% faster drying time.  Amazon offers a free flat iron for the hair inspired that are spending $200 or more on related products. Now that’s a cool deal.
